Every bed and breakfast is unique and reflects the personality of the owners.

Some B&B's are owner occupied, others just have an innkeeper.

The Yellow Turtle Inn is occupied by it owners and specializes in making you feel special. You will meet several people during your stay. John, Ruth or Joan will be assisting throughout the weekend

At the Yellow Turtle Inn, we recognize that you are more than just a number.

My Guests

Some guests come and want to talk. Other guests come wishing to retreat alone or with someone and wish to be left alone.

For those of you wishing to be left alone together, I offer brunch delivered to your room or private seating in the Tea Room.

Those who wish to visit naturally seek each other out.

Grocery shopping just for you

Because I go shopping just for you, I like to know what you can eat.

When you make your reservation, I ask if you have any food allergies and if you are a vegatarian.

Your arrival time

Check in time is between 5 and 6PM

It is a good idea to indicate your time of arrival so that someone is nearby to greet you. If you are going to be late or especially earlier than the check in time, other arrangements will need to be made for you. Please email or call me.Your name and receipt will be on your door and your room will be ready for you.

For your safety, we have surveillance cameras in public areas.

Advance reservations are required. We like to know our guests at the Yellow Turtle Inn.
No one is annonymous.

What do I do once I get there?

Once you arrive and find your room, you are welcome to wander about the Inn and the grounds exploring. One of the nicest things about the Yellow Turtle Inn is that you have opportunity to just sit and not be expected to do anything. Just relax on the front porch and view the birds, squirrels and trees. Have time for a peaceful conversation.There are also books, journals and fascinating things to discover right here in the 'Turtle'. Our gardens are natural to protect Mother Nature and her inhabitants.

With advance notice we can provide, on the premises, massages and various dinner selections.

Only one guest room is equipped with a TV.

All these things are done by design to get you to a place where you can slow down from your whirlwind life and the pressures of the outside world do not invade the peace inside the 'Turtle'.

We do have wireless internet connection available.
Please ask for the password.

Complimentary Refreshments

In your room refrigerator, you will find a couple of complimentary sodas and bottled water just for you. You may bring your own wine and yes I have wine glasses and a cork screw for you.There are also refreshments in the dining room for you to help yourself.

Brunch

In the morning, I put coffee and muffins out by 9:30AM.

I have watched my guests' patterns here at the Turtle and have discovered that they like to sleep in! What a surprise. Well, so do I! So I moved breakfast to 10:30 AM and everyone is a whole lot happier!

Sometimes I have early morning people for whatever crazy reason. I can put a breakfast in your refrigerator for you to eat at your convenience. -cereal, milk,fruit, yogurt etc.

Because our meals are prepared especially for each guest, you need to let me know before your arrival if you will be joining us for brunch.

Brunch is included in your room charge.

If you have friends that wish to join you for brunch, they certainly are invited to join us.

All rooms have private baths. Each room has something different. So if you are particular please be sure you know what you are getting. Some have whirlpool tubs (no showers) some have showers, some with clawfoot tubs. I fit into the rooms what I could during restoration.
Yes, sheets, towells, soap and toilet paper are included!

Because I have a seven day cancellation policy I have already run your credit card before your arrival.

Your receipt will be on your bed.

If you would like, I can email you a receipt when I charge your card. Please let me know.

So when you are ready, you can leave without a check out hassle.

Check out is not until 2PM, so once again you do not have to rush after brunch.

Mother Nature - Why have you let her take over?

For those who are used to seeing the world perfect and manicured, you may ask why I have chosen to let Mother Nature recapture a corner of her earth here at the Yellow Turtle Inn. I have watched subdivisions spring up right behind me and seen animals hungry because we humans have stolen what was originally theirs.

I purposefully let the berries, nuts, bushes and trees grow to create a safe haven for the birds, bees and animals and send oxygen back into the planet. Lawns are not fertilized with chemicals to pollute the streams and our drinking water.

Because “civilization” sprung up around the Inn, I chose to create a safe haven for those wishing to meditate without watching the neighbors. I know it is a foreign concept for those being used to a Holiday Inn atmosphere.

Nature! It is the Inn thing now! Without it, you and I will die!

So I invite you to take delight in a natural surrounds. See how many berries you can find. Can you find the hawks and their nests? Have you ever seen a squirrel’s nest? And the ground hogs, mother natures irrigators, are the clowns and us the fools for getting rid of them. They burrow holes so that the huge trees can be watered deep and not have the water run off after a huge storm. God really did have a plan for each animal. We just somehow got screwed up when we humans started to think we were God and landscaped and paved everything out of existence.
